Odettes challenge

My latest project was somewhat of a challenge but I'm pleased to say that I was able to pull it off splendidly...According to myself and Odette at least :)
I recently 'met' a lovely lady on facebook.. Odette.. who fell in love with my fairies and asked me to create one for her that had the colours black, purple, red and silver in it.
"Ok..no worries.. leave it with me and I'll see what I can come up with" I say trying to sound confident but secretly thinking now this one is a major challenge...HOW am I going to make her something pretty blending all those colours together?
SO I went to the studio and started hunting through my stash of fabrics and finding nothing I liked and thinking I can't get back to her and tell her I'm having trouble coming up with something wonderful cause I was meant to be the expert here!
So I left it a couple of days and decided to do what any good little witch would do.. ask my guides for help!
I then cleared my thoughts and asked my faery guide to 'please help me create the perfect faery for Odette'
Later that day I went to the studio and discovered some fabric I had overlooked the first time I went through my stash...the red and black you can see in the pics.. and remembered some black/purple/red wool I used on a goth doll ages ago that should go ok with her.
Hunting down the bottom of my wool pile I found what I was looking for and there was JUST enough for the hair :)
So I started putting her together and sent these two pics to Odette checking in if this was something like she had in mind and said I was thinking of adding some flowers in her hair and maybe silver wings and waited for her reply.

I had to go to town that day and did my shopping etc and headed to Lincraft and found some flowers I thought would look nice. Some red roses and mauve lilly type flowers and was looking at some silver fabric for the wings but indecision was saying umm...ahhh.. no I might leave it so I just brought home the flowers.

I checked my msgs when I got home and found one from Odette saying she loved her face and how she was looking so far and that flowers in her hair sounded good. She was thinking roses or lillies maybe and silver wings sounded ok but she was thinking black wings.
I smile to myself thanking my faery guide cause it's no coincidence that I just happened to skip the silver fabric and bring home roses and lillies :)

I finished putting her all together and added beads and little silver butterflies (you might be able to see them better if you click on the pics) and even though I knew Odette would love her because I wasn't working alone to create her masterpiece, me being a typical Virgo had to just check that it was all to her liking(several times) I think my angels and guides are used to me checking and double checking that I 'heard you right?'...'can I just double check this?' If you're a Virgo you'll know what I'm talking about ;)

So since this little faery will be arriving at her loving new home very soon I decided to have a photo shoot with her to remember her by ;)

Miss Willow had to come over and check out what mum was up to as she set this strange looking thing up on the planter........

but then soon discovered it was nothing she could eat so lost interest.

I'm off to create some more faery magick and play with my sewing machine.
Hope everyone is having a fun filled day wherever they may be :)
