I have been such a bad blogger of late. I'm SO behind in reading others blogs and writing on my own. I've missed catching up with my blog buddies and I promise to get around to all blogs in the next few days and catch up on everyones crafty creations and happenings. I'm taking a couple of days break from sewing and orders to set up for Tara's 18th birthday party being held on the weekend. Vampire dress up themed party with spooky vampy/monster themed food (and a heap of scary teenage friends). Should be loads of fun! I think the scariest part is that 18 years have flown by so fast and my little girl is now considered an ADULT!
Since I started my Wickedly Divine page on facebook I've been flat out sewing bags and dolls that are disappearing like hot cakes. It's exciting how well they've all been received but the work load is huge at the moment with orders as well as crafting goodies for 2 stalls that I've been asked to participate in within the next month as well as an artists showcase coming up in a quilt store in town in a few months and crafting for the Mind Body Spirit festival in Sydney in Nov. Phew...it hasn't left many spare hours for blog reading unfortunately.
So while I have a few minutes spare before tea and baths and bed for kidlets I thought I better let you all know I'm still in the land of the living and show my latest creations.....
This bag was made for my beautiful mum who's birthday was last week. I haven't given it to her yet as she's been away on a short holiday so she'll be getting it on the weekend. Hope she loves it.
The lovely fantasy artist Joanne Schemmp kindly gave me permission to use her image of Colleen on the bag. I love Joanne's art!
This bag was made for sale and has sold....
these too have also sold.....
and on the wicked~er side of Wickedly Divine a dark fae that was part of Tara's birthday gifts.......(I am really loving making these bags :))
along with a victorian style vampire doll.......
complete with an Elvis lip curl to show off one of her fangs
and my crafty little Kayla made the black rose ribbon to go on her head!
Also part of another birthday present are these cute babushka(or matryoshka)dolls made for my little lady who recently turned 2...March is a bad month for birthdays. Another is coming up for another daughter on St Patty's day!
These ones were made from the pattern I received in Chookyblues SSCS last year.
And little Miss Danae loves them :)
Another recent creation is this little faery "Bea" She is still available for adoption and there are more pics of her on my wickedly divine page on facebook. I couldn't decide what to call her and as I took the photos of her a little bee landed on her dress and hence her name :)
Another adoptable is this mermaid and there are more pics of her on the fb page too.
And I finally made a faery just for myself for once and this one was made in remembrance of my dear nanna who passed away close to 17 years ago. I received this marcasite brooch that she used to wear when her will was read and have had it in my jewellery box all that time waiting for my doll making skills to improve to put it to use on something special.
So Mareliz...named after my nan Mary Elizabeth... was born.
I was pleased with how she turned out :)
Today also marks the 1 year anniversary of my beginings on Blogger. So being my very 1st blogiversary and in relation to all the birthday gifts I've been giving away for the month of March so far I think I should mark it with a birthday giveaway on here too.
So how do we go about this? How does leaving a comment here on Blogger sound and everyone who does goes into a draw that I will draw on the weekend for a small pressie? Oh and an extra entry into the draw if you're a follower :)
I'm off to bath some kids and finish some sewing before I take a short break for the birthday fun.
blessings to all
